My Travel Experience in Charlotte, NC
I can’t believe I’m writing this post right now.
I just came back home from my very first work trip. I went to the great city of Charlotte, NC. I had a blast. I met a lot of great people, ate some great food, and made some incredible memories with my coworkers.
I wanted to share my trip with you by discussing all the great things we got into. It was a business trip, so I didn't spend much time exploring the city but the parts I did get to see I wanted to make sure that I documented them.
I made sure to write down all the cool places we went to and the great places we ate at. I don’t have as many pictures as I thought I would but I did vlog the whole trip. It will be up tomorrow around 3:00pm. You should definitely check it out if you want to see the great charlotte sights.
Here are the places we visited:
Nascar Hall of Fame : We had a team bonding event at the Nascar Hall of Fame. We were able to change tires, race cars, and build cars. It was so much fun and i wished that I got to hear more history information about Nascar but it was so much fun doing the activities.
P.S My team came in 2nd overall for the activities challenge. WO-OH!!
This is where we stayed:
Embassy Suites: This is definitely a hotel that I’ll be coming back to If I ever visitCharlotte again. The hotel had a gym, pool, and suites that gave me downtown apartment vibes. I literally could not get out of bed because the beds were so comfortable. Don’t get me started on the breakfast. It was perfect. I wish I would’ve had more time to enjoy the morning breakfast because they had endless options and boy, i know they were good!!!
P.S: The staff was so hospitable and kind. We had complementary drinks available for us to partake in every night and they weren’t strict on how many drinks we could have. It was something that we definitely didn’t take for granted.
Also, since this was a business trip, we didn’t drink as much but it was a perfect way for us to relax, let our guards down, and just get to know people without the added pressure of being professional.
Here are the places we ate:
Red Ginger: Their Hibachi was definitely great! The hibachi cook was amazing and very kind. He was also very personable and keep us entertained throughout our time there.
Bojangles: I had this during lunch and didn’t regret it. It was a southern classic and I am just so upset that we don’t have it here in Texas. Definitely try the bo’berry biscuits!!
Moe’s Southwest Grill: This place gave me a chipotle vibe without the limited options. I had an amazing time and ate there twice. I was obsessed. If you like chipotle or Free-birds, you will definitely LOVE this place.
Red Eye Diner: By far, my favorite restaurant we ate at in Charlotte, NC. It gave me 50’s vibe. I never really see a lot of Diners in Texas so I definitely loved the aesthetic and the food. They served Chicken and Waffles, which is one of my favorite dishes. if you are ever in Charlotte or this Diner is available in your area, give it a try.
I am so grateful that I was able to explore a new city with the people that I’ll be working with. I am extremely excited and very content. I’ve made so many new connections and I am totally ready for my career to really start.
