My New Years Resolution for 2024

2024 is right around the corner.

I can’t believe this year went by so fast! I started this year with a 1-year-old and I’m ending this year with a 2-year-old and a four-month-old. Wow.

2024 is going to be the year of all years for me. With Major (our baby) starting to walk and Micah (our oldest) starting to talk. So many adventures await us as a family of four.

Nonetheless, I still have personal goals and dreams I would like to achieve that have nothing to do with motherhood or marriage but me, as an individual. I wanted to share a couple of them with you, in hopes that we both can keep each other accountable. Ultimately, these goals are individual based, but as well all know, my kids and husband will benefit as well with every goal accomplished.

So, let’s get into it. & please do me a huge favor and let me know a big goal of yours that you don’t mind sharing that you would like to accomplish in the new year

  1. Healthy Eating - I would like to make fitness and healthy eating a priority. So, my task for the new year is to meet with a nutritionist and start with the 12-3-30 workout in January. As we all know losing weight is 90% what you eat and 10% working out. For me personally, although I don’t like the gym, I don’t mind going. My weakness is food, I love eating out and passing through a drive through. So, in order to cut back I think seeking professional help would be nice. It would also be nice to know how my body breaks down fat, and which foods help and don’t help my weight loss journey. In addition, making a specialized meal plan that I can be on that will help me lose what I need to lose but allows me an occasional fast-food fun.

  2. Therapy - I have not been in therapy for three years and it shows. Becoming a mother has really highlighted the character traits I need to work on in order to be the best mom to Micah and Major. So, this year I will be looking for a therapist who can help assist me in tackling my mental load as a mother and just helping me overall maintain a better mental health.

  3. Pay off Debt - Self-explanatory, I don’t want to live another year in debt. My goal is to be debt-free by the end of 2024. Period. I don’t want to owe anybody anything, unless it’s a big purchase like a house or a car, other than that. I want to live my life in financial freedom wonderland.

I have so many other personal resolutions for the year, but I felt comfortable sharing these, as I think a lot of others can relate. 2024 is OUR year. It’s another chance to tackle your goals and achieve those long-awaited dreams you’ve been working towards. You got this. We got this! 2024 we’re ready.

Let me know in the comments what are your resolutions for 2024.
